As a school, if you are purchasing items, you will typically go through the Procurement department. New technology that needs to be processed to become district assets, are one example of something that will go through Procurement. Additional steps may be involved if the purchase is for pre-approved technology vs not pre-approved technology. The cost of the item might also involve additional steps.
How to Purchase Through Procurement
- It is important that you have an account string before submitting anything through Procurement
- State what you are purchasing (approved or not)
- Include the cost in your submission because this will determine if there are any extra steps you will need to take
Once you have this information go to The Procurement site and fill out a ticket for your purchase.
If you are Unsure Specifically what to Buy
In the case where you know you need to purchase a computer but you are unsure of the make or model that would best suit your need, you should reach out to Tech Services or Procurement and they can help you get specifics on what to buy. If possible, a web link to what you are considering can be helpful. You might also include any specifications or minimum requirements you are looking for in your purchase. We understand that prices are subject to change based on time of year or the vendors custom pricing, so if you don't know the cost please estimate it and we can get you an official quote with the price.
